FREE TRAUMA RELIEF ACUPUNCTURE CLINIC

For the community in and around Moscow affected by the losses on January 10^th

Local acupuncturists Naomi Brownson, LAc, Meggan Baumgartner, LAc, Cass McLean, LAc, and Kameron Schott, LAc will be providing free ear acupuncture treatments for trauma relief, grief support and to promote healing for our community. Ear acupuncture is safe and effective, and can help relieve insomnia, anxiety and depression, irritability, and other symptoms common to people who have suffered shock and loss.

DATES / TIMES:      Monday, January 19^th 6:00-8:00pm, please arrive between 5:50 and 7:30pm

                                 Sunday, January 25^th  2:00-4:00pm, please arrive between 1:50 and 3:30pm

                                 Saturday, January 31^st 9:00-11:00am, please arrive between 8:50 and 10:30am

LOCATION: The Uma Center, at 414 S. Jefferson Street, Moscow

(house across the street from the Post Office)

All are welcome. If you are a family member, friend, caretaker, pastor, counselor, doctor, nurse, police officer, EMT, etc. of those affected by the shootings, please consider giving yourself this support if it is of interest to you.

Hello fellow Porcu-Patients!

I want to thank you for your patience in scheduling your acupuncture appointments this May. As some of you may already know, the Healing Point, LLC acupuncture clinic is dissolving as of May 1st, 2013 and re-opening under a different name on July 1st, 2013. This leaves Palouse Acupuncture, LLC with new patients coming out the Yin Yang! The online scheduling system is first-come-first-serve, which makes it difficult to schedule as often as you may like. I have set up another list separate of the online schedule in case I get any last-minute cancellations. Please send me an email with your time preferences in case of a cancellation and how much notice you need to get to the appointment. (palouseacupuncture@gmail.com)

I would also like to mention that our office offers other holistic health care modalities that work very well in conjunction with acupuncture. Here are a list of our practitioners.

Hello Lovely Pin-cushions!

We have been busy here at Palouse Acupuncture advocating for our Blue Cross of Idaho porcu-patients!

Currently Blue Cross of Idaho does not offer acupuncture as a covered benefit for its members. Blue Cross of Idaho is the only medical insurance offered to the employees of the University of Idaho, Latah County, and Gritman Medical; some of Moscow, Idaho’s largest employers. This means that a majority of Moscow’s residents do not have even basic acupuncture coverage. There are over 20 different insurance companies on the Palouse that offer acupuncture benefits, so why doesn’t Blue Cross of Idaho?

I created the petition: “Acu-For-Blue: Bringing Acupuncture Coverage to the Members of Blue Cross of Idaho.” We want to show – through collected support and signatures – that acupuncture coverage on an insurance policy isn’t just a luxury, it’s a necessity.
